What
She Has
In
June 2006, Sarah was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar
Hepatocellular Carcinoma, this is a rare variant
of primary liver cancer which most often occurs in individuals
between the ages of 15 and 25. There is no known cause
of this type of cancer and as the worldwide incident
is currently approx 200 cases, there are insufficient
statistics to enable analysis of the cause or best treatment
(which is why Sarah is keen to take part in the research
study)
